I’m Nicolette, and together with Stefano, my partner, we manage the estate and maintain the Tuscan charm with a conscience for the environment. Big fans of “la dolce vita” ourselves, we embody the Tuscan lifestyle and all it includes, we produce our own olive oil, enjoy nature and Italian culture, the food and wine too of course! Now, the urban to our country; the SEVENFIRDAY brand. A lifestyle brand that personifies the spirit of living everyday as if it were a friday, enjoying life and embarking on exciting adventures with like-minded people.

Combined we give you a place to host your wedding, throw the birthday bash of the century, retreat with your friends and family, or anything else you had in mind. The mix of urban cool and and idyllic, cultured Tuscany means the SEVENFRIDAY retreat at Podere I Prati has something for everyone!

History

The Beginning

Besides the stunning landscape and the amazing richness of archaeology, history and art the area offers, we were struck by the immense biological variety and pureness of this place. We were particularly enchanted by the country estate I Prati, where over the course of the last 30 years horses had been grazing the fields. In addition it’s dry and breezy climate was especially suited for olive growing and the production of organic olive oil.

The building dates back to the 16th century and was enlarged in the 1930’s.

The Evolution

In 2007 the house was renovated respecting eco principles wherever possible. Sustainability is fundamentally important to us so we only used environmentally friendly materials.

We have carefully renovated the ancient olive grove that was severely damaged by the infamous frost of 1985 and in 2009 planted 500 young olive trees in between the existing trees. Now our grove is organic, not intensive and well integrated in the landscape. We live in harmony with the flora and fauna of the area.
